Trust in the Lord

Good morning crafty friends! I'm so glad it's Friday and we have a long weekend! I'm here with another 3 Girl Jam project.

I made this card specifically for a card ministry that I have in mind.  I have decided to start doing cards to donate to my church so they can send to those that need a word of encouragement or are going through a hard time.  I hope that the recipients really feel God's love through the different messages.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Link Up For Pink Challenge #2

Good morning!  I am really excited about today's post because it is my
first posting and challenge as a Link Up For Pink designer!

Today's challenge is sponsored by A Day for Daisies.  There is a $12 voucher up for grabs! Very very cute images, so if you haven't checked them out, now is the time to do it!  You have until June 7th to link up your project at the Link Up For Pink site.  Your project must be related to breast cancer awareness and have pink in it.  A winner will be chosen on June 8th.

For my card I am using flower frame from A Day for Daisies and colored it with promarkers.  The more I use my promarkers, the more I like them!! I am really having fun coloring images!!  The sentiment is from Pink By Design

As I mentioned before, every post that I do for LUFP,  I will have a small breast cancer fact along with a story.  I will also do a giveaway for those that participate, not just in reading the story, but entering the challenge.  Last week's winner was
Jenivive
Jenivive, please email me your address to scrappyzeni@gmail.com and I will get your prize out to you.

Now for a small breast cancer fact: Did you know that early detection of breast cancer, through monthly breast self-exam and particularly yearly mammography after age 40, offers the best chance for survival?  So go out there and get your mammograms ladies!!! I'm actually having mine done today! :)

Here is a story about a true fighter named Leitha.  Please click here to read her story.  It is a long read, but truly worth it.  After all, this is about breast cancer awareness and I'm sure we all can take something from each of these stories.

Here are the rules to be eligible for my surprise giveaway:

1. Leave a comment letting me know what has inspired you about Leitha's story:
2. Enter the LUFP Challenge
3. Like LUFP on Facebook

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you all have a great day!

Big News and a Giveaway!

Hi Everyone! I am so honored and excited to announce that I will be designing for Link Up For Pink!!  I will be working with Yolie and Celeste along with a few other talented crafters to bring out breast cancer awareness to our crafting community.  There will be many challenges to enter and in October there will be Link Up For Pink event.  We hope that you will take the opportunity and join us in spreading awareness and enter our challenges.  This cause is very close and dear to my heart as I have very a couple of special friends that are battling this disease and I'm so proud to be able to make a difference and spread awareness  through my creativity.

I plan to write for every post a simple fact about breast cancer and include a story of someone that has experienced breast cancer in the hopes to spread more awareness.  So for my first fact and story:

"Did you know that breast cancer is the most common cancer in women regardless of the race or ethnicity?"  This goes to show how important it is for you ladies to go make your appointments and get checked, regardless of how good your family health history is.  The story below can explain more about a family history with no breast cancer:

Here is Nancy's story -  I am a 2 1/2 year breast cancer survivor. Luckily, my cancer was caught by mammogram in the very early stages. It was a stage 1 cancer. I had a lumpectomy and all the lymph nodes removed under the arm on that side. The nodes were all clear. I was able to get by without chemo, but I had 35 radiation treatments. God truly blessed me.

You can click on her name to read her full story.  I sure hope that these little facts and stories will push every single one of you to take this serious and to get your mammo's done in a timely manner. Remember....
We must save the TATAS!

So to encourage participation and know that the word is awareness is being spread, I will be doing a small surprise giveaway during every posting.  I promise it will be something you all could use! :)
All you have to do is:

1. Leave a comment about the post letting me
know what has inspired you about the story.
2. Like Link Up For Pink on Facebook by clicking here
3. You don't need to follow my blog or sign up for the newsletter,
but I must certainly love it and appreciate it if you did!

You have until Sunday night to qualify for a surprise gift!  Thank you so much for stopping by and stay tuned for next week's LUFP challenge!  Have a great day!

Jaded Blossom Customer Blog Hop

For the 3 Girl JAM DT posting, click here

Good morning Jaded Blossom fans! Welcome to the Jaded Blossom Customer Blog Hop. If you just happen to be visiting today, please start at Jaded Blossom to see what all the hoopla is about!  Once you finish here, please go back to Jaded Blossom to see who the next person in the line up.  You don't want to miss out on the awesome prizes!

For my project, I made favor boxes for my kids' teachers.  My oldest daughter decided she wanted to give all the Special Education teachers a little something because she knows they work very hard and are rarely recognized.  She sees it first hand since she volunteers her lunch hour to spend time with the kids everyday.  Needless to say, I made 25 boxes!  I used Jaded blossom treat boxes and the Teacher Appreciation stamp set.  I honestly love the sentiment!!!

These boxes are of awesome quality and I am sure to place an order very soon since I exhausted all my supply this time around! LOL! I have to say that they are one of my favorite companies around.  So check out their store soon!

Jaded Blossom will be offering Echo Park paper, Twine and new treat boxes which have not yet released to three lucky winners who comment on every blog. You will have until Sunday night to complete the hop. Winners will be announced Monday morning!!

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to go back to Jaded Blossom to see who the next person is in the lineup! Have a great weekend!

Enjoy Today

Good morning my friends!   I can't get over how beautiful this 3 Girl JAM ribbon is!! I made this card during NSD at a crop.  It was the first thing I worked on and I absolutely loved how it came together.  My favorite thing about 3GJ ribbon is being able to combine the beautiful colors available.

I used the new Aqua Splash ribbon and combined it with Sterling.  Don't forget to check out all the May specials. You can get 80 yards of this fabulous ribbon in many fabulous colors for $39.99 and the new Caribbean Splash bundle for $4.49!!

I also used Market Street Stamps Enjoy Today stamp set, which included the coffee cup and sentiment.  The flag die is from Jaded Blossom.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you all have a beautiful Friday and a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all my mommy friends! :)

Thank You For Helping Me Grow

Hello my dear friends!  I wanted to share with you this card I made for my son's teacher this week.  She truly is a special person, well.... any teacher really is, but to me she's special.  She loves my son like if he was her own and definitely is not afraid to tell me when he falls out of line!  Thank you Ms. Temple for all you do, but most of all for doing it with all your heart!

I used a flower card file from the Silhoutte Store and added some green apple and peppermint red twine from 3 Girl Jam.  I also used Jaded Blossom's sentiment from the Teacher Appreciation set.  I will be entering this in the May challenge for Jaded Blossom which was to create something using 2 or more flowers of any kind and use their stamp.

Have a great day everyone!
