Scrapbookaholic by Abby Challenge #7: Father's Day!

Welcome to another Scrapbookaholic by Abby Challenge.  This challenge is all about Father's day and a sketch.  Below is the sketch we used....

Here's my take on the sketch.

I decided to use the ribbon in a different direction.  After gluing the ribbon I realized I didn't used the solid color on the botton, so..... I just said forget! It's too cute anyway!!! LOL!  The paper is from The Guy Stack from DCWV and the sentiment is from Pink by Design.  The digi is from The Greeting Farm.  I had lot so fun coloring this little guy!

So head on over to Abby's Blog to enter the challenge.  There is an awesome sponsor for this challenge.  It's Sakura of America and the prize is a 6 pack of gelly roll pens.

Hope you all have a great Monday and an awesome rest of the week!  God bless!

Welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge! This week it's all about Father's day.  I decided to try out my ecraft with a simple project.  I cut the bag from a collection from SVGcuts.  I used the Guy stack from DCWV for the bag and in the stack there were these cute little tags that you trim out.  Then I used a simple ribbon to add to the bag.  Guys don't like bling so this is as good as it gets for a gift bag! :)

This week's challenge is being sponsored by Joy's Life .   You can also click here to check out the rest of her awesome stamps!  Make sure to go to the Whimsical Wednesday challenge blog to enter your manly/father's day project for a chance to win the stamp set!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday! God bless!!!

Whimsical Wednesday Challenge #2

Welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge! This week is all about cards and spring. The theme is "April showers bring May flowers". Look at this cutie card!! :)

I created this card using the create a critter cartridge for the umbrella and embossed it the birds and swirls embossing folder.  I also lightly stamped the umbrella with some orange ink.  The stamp with the boots and sentiment is from Great Impressions.  I used to take a stamp of the month class with these stamps and registered for this one, but never went.  So I was given the supplies and told do what you like with it.  This was over a year ago and who would have thought that I would've had the perfect design team assignment for it!  I was really happyt hat I hung on to it.  I also used some bling and tombow markers to color the stamp.

This week's sponsor is Emma from My Creative Time. To join the fun and see what you can win click here and it will take you to the Whimsical Wednesday blog.  It must include one of the following elements; umbrella, rain boots, rain drops or flowers. Remember that you have 2 weeks to submit the project.

Hope you enjoyed my card and that you join in the fun! God bless!

Scrapbookaholic by Abby Challenge #3

Welcome to another Scrapbookaholic by Abby challenge.  This week it's all about raising awareness against animal cruelty.  The ASPCA has an important annual event in April. It is the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month. Each year, the ASPCA urges supporters across the country to support their efforts and "Go Orange for Animals".   You can click here to see the different things you can do to help this organization or the things that you can do within your own community.  I personally have always adopted my pets from various organizations.  I believe that animals that have been abused, deserve to get a second chance in a good home.  My first adopted dog, Ginger, was dropped off at a center with a note that said, "my owner beats me and my neighbor saved me.  Please find me a good home".  We fell in love with her.  She was just 3 months old and when we brought her home she would not leave the corner because she was so scared.  Ginger was part of the family and it tooks us some time to rehabilitate her, but she came around.  Unfortunately, she got lose one day and we lost her to a car hitting her.  But she is always remembered as the best dog in the world!

So in order to help raise awareness, the challenge this week is to create something with an animal and to use the color orange.  Below is a little card that I created.

I used Create a critter and Pink by Design stamp and embelished with some stickles, flowers and ribbon.  It was very easy to make, but I love all the cheery colors and it's perfect for someone who needs a little lifting up.  So join the fun and visit Abby's blog to link up your project! This week's challenge is being sponsored by Oh My Crafts.  It's a $15 certificate to their store (who can't use a little extra cash for crafting!).  Don't miss out and start on your project! The challenge ends on April 23rd.

Hope you enjoyed it my little card and God bless!

Scrapbookaholic by Abby Challenge #2

Welcome to another Scrapbookaholic by Abby challenge! These two weeks we will be concentrating on anything spring. I've created a sweet little card using a digistamp from Bugaboo Stamps and Pink by Design stamp:

Here's a closer look at the stamp and sentiment:

The digistamp is from the summer peek collection and it's called Flowerpot.  The Pink by Design stamp is the stamp of the month Grow, I used a sentiment and the little flowers from that collection.   I am quickly liking to use image stamps and I'm loving to use water color markers! All I have are tombows but I hope to graduate to copics in the future :)  hehehe!  I also used  and Creative Memories' chalking ink and a little bling on the corners.  Thanks for visiting and don't forget to go to Abby's page to enter your project.  The prize is this week is being sponsored by Abby herself and it's a beautiful 6x6 SEI paper stack and SEI ribbon assortment.  You don't want to miss an opportunity to win!  Thanks for stopping by and God bless!
