Hope and Believe

Happy Monday everybody! I'm here with a card encouraging those beautiful fighters to never give up, to hope and to believe!

For this card I used a beautiful image from Scrapbook Stamp Society and some beautiful ribbon from
3 Girl JAM (coral crush and ice blue).  The words Hope and Believe are from the Pink by Design Breast Wishes stamp set.

Breast cancer fact: Did you know that out of every 100 cases of breast cancer one will occur in a man?  Men may think this could not happen to them, but it is very possible.  If you hear of a man feeling something different in their breast, encourage them to go and talk to their doctor and get checked.

Here's a story about Murray... a male breast cancer survivor.  Breast cancer in men is every real and there is not enough education out there warning males about the possible signs.

Don't forget to visit the Link Up For Pink blog to see more encouraging and breast cancer awareness projects, they are definitely inspiring!

Hope you all have a great day and stay healthy!

Hello and welcome to Link Up for Pink’s first “Pink Hope” Blog Hop!!  As we all know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, but here at LUFP, we want to bring Breast Cancer Awareness to our crafty friends all year long.   We want to get the message out to all women about Breast Cancer and the importance of early detection with regular self-breast exams and mammograms.

If you arrived from our guest designer Theresa's blog you are on track.  If you just happened to be visiting and want to hop along, please start at the Link Up for Pink blog.
We are also playing with a fantastic sketch designed especially for LUFP by Melissa Craig from Tuesday Morning Sketches.
Here is my card using the sketch and a special stamp made for LUFP from Scrapbook Stamp Society.  The sentiments are from Jaded Blossom's Simple Sayings stamp set

Our sponsors today are Scrapbook Stamp Society and Touched By A Butterfly.   One lucky winner will receive  a $12 voucher to Scrapbook Stamp Society and a BCA Printable Digital Kit from Touched By a Butterfly.
I will be giving away a cute breast cancer awareness necklace to one person (sorry... I have not been able to take a picture of it, but I promise you will love it!)

All you have to do is be a follower of my blog and leave a comment with a way for me to contact you. You must also like the LUFP Facebook Page.

Pink Bundle from 3 Girl JAM

Stamp set from Ippity Chick Mary's Creative Journey

This week we are also using a sketch by Melissa Craig:

I used Ippity Chick - Mary's Creative Journey's Flowers + Friends = Priceless stamp set for the flower.  I stamped it and embossed it in gold.  I also added 3 Girl JAM's Baby Girl crinkle ribbon.  I also used Creative Memories double heart chain border maker and blinged it up just a bit. The sentiment is from Pink by Design. I love the green, pink and kraft color combination!

Here's an article I found about breast cancer facts in Women's Day.  I hope you take the time to read it.

You can click here to read Brenda's story.  She went from finding out she had stage 0 cancer to having a mastectomy.  Different cancers behave in different ways, hence the importance of early detection.

Breast of Friends

Hi everyone! Today is my day at Link Up For Pink  and show you some more inspiration for Breast Cancer Awareness.  This card is perfect to show support to a friends and remind her that she will always have your support.

I made this card with Pink by Design's Save the Tatas and Breast Wishes stamp sets and used the fabulous
3 Girl JAM cherry lipstick and goblin green crinkle ribbon.  You can also visit Link Up For Pink to see some more breast cancer awareness inspiration.

Here's my fact for todayFor women in the U.S., breast cancer death rates are higher than those for any other cancer, besides lung cancer.

Here's a story about a woman named Michelle who through a self exam found a lump, but doctors gave her the do not worry story.  Click here to read the full story.

Don't forget to remind each other to do your self exams get your mammograms.  Let's make each other accountable and push each other for these important tests.  I certainly hope that you all will do that.

Have  a beautiful day!

God is Faithful

Good morning!  Here I am with another 3 Girl Jam card.  I made this using the lilac purple twine.  The round sentiment is from Dollar Clear Stamps.  I found that they have lots of sentiments that I can use to make cards to donate to the church.  This will definitely be one of them.  So many people need to be reminded of how faithful God is these days. I certainly hope the person receives it is reminded of such truth!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great day!

Supplies:
3GJ lilac purple twine
Echo Park designer Paper
Beige and purple cardstock
Clear Dollar stamp
1.75" and 2" circle puncher

Beautiful Bows Blog Hop

Welcome to the Beautiful Bows blog hop! If you have arrived her from Jessica's blog, then you are in the right place.  If you happen to be here for a visit, you should head on over to the 3 Girl JAM blog.  You don't want to miss any of the fun and beautiful projects from the design team!

For my project, I made this card using  a couple of different 3 Girl JAM products.  The bow is made with the new 3GJ bow maker.  I really love how easy it is to use and the different sizes and types of bows that you can create with it.   I used the sunflower crinkle ribbon and the chevron harvest border.  I also used Heartfelt Creations basket die to make the little basket and Pink by Design's Faith set sentiment "each day is a gift".  The green background is a spellbinder die.  I really love using the adhesive borders.   It helps to make a quick and beautiful project.

So below are some pictures of how I made this cute double bow.  I always find it hard to make small bows, well now with the 3GJ bow maker, it makes it a lot easier and prettier!

First I wrapped it around the 2 posts.  You can choose the size of bow
by moving the posts either closer or apart.

I wrapped it around one more time to get the two loops

I make the famous ribbon sign by crossing over the two ends

I take the top part and swing it through the bottom and back and bring it back over

here it is in the front

I then tie them together and pull up

this is what it looks like.

This is how my little bow turned out.  I trimmed the edges and adhered it to my card. Isn't it just beautiful?!?!  I never thought that I could do a beautiful bow, but now I can and I honestly find it easier than using the bow easy! I love how the center is perfect.

Here is the 3 Girl JAM sale, don't miss out on it!
All Bow Maker orders through July 5, 2012 will include a 4 yard bundle of the very new Summer Sprinkles crinkle ribbon. The bow maker will sell for $5.99. There is also a special on crinkle ribbon bundles through July 5: Buy 2 get one Free.
