Standing on God's Promises Faith Blog Hop

Welcome to the God's Promises Faith Blog Hop.  If you arrived here from Carolyn's Mess Muddle and Fun you are in the right place.  If you just arrived at my blog, you should go to My Paper Tree House Studio in order to start at the beginning.  Every month a group of brave women get together to showcase the Glory of God.  This month we want to showcase His faithfulness during trying times, so kick back, relax and let the Lord touch your heart with His Truth!

Did you know that there are 1260 promises in the Bible?  I did not count them myself, but am blown away by the fact that each and every promise the Lord gives, He is faithful to fulfill.  It is pretty easy to believe this when times are easy and abundance surrounds our lives, but is that the same when trouble hits?

For my project I did a layout in order to continue on my faithbook.  My hope and prayer is that my kids will look at this in the future and see my love for the Lord and that I used the talent he gave me to not only leave them a legacy, but to reach out to others who are seeking his love and grace.

Speaking of grace.... this is exactly what my layout is about:

I wanted to journal something for my kids to look at in the future and feel inspired by it, so I grabbed a book that I have called Prayers & Promises for Women and I used the prayer that went right with the verse.  It really helped me realized that God's Grace is a gift to us and he sacrificed his life for us so we can have it even when we fall short of glory.

In the last couple of months, I had gone through a rough time with my job and I was just in a bad place. I spent days in and out crying, confused in a bad mood.   I forgot that it was not my place to worry about things, that I needed to leave it for God to deal with.  Well, wouldn't you know.... the minute I did that, things started to fall into place.  God took the things away from me that I did not need to worry about.  He started to reveal his will for me and he quietly whispered to me "It will be ok".  Since then, all I have been receiving is blessings in my life. And when I say blessings, I mean BLESSINGS!  The right people came to me and spoke to me and encourage me.  They prayed for me and I felt like I regain focused.  Why the turnaround you ask?  Because God's grace is sufficient for me and he loves me and died for me and he promised to never leave me nor forsake me.  If you are going through a rut in your life, I hope you see how God's grace is sufficient enough for you too.

So how about some blog candy?????  I will use random.org to choose a winner.  I will be giving away a Pink By Design's Olive Juice Background Stamp.  All you have to do is leave a comment.  You don't have to be a follower, but I would certainly love it if you were!  I love followers from all over the world, but unfortunately the candy must stay in the U.S.

Thanks for hopping through this faith hop.  Know that we are praying for you and really hope your eyes are opened to the Truth about the Lord's Faithfulness! :)  God bless you all!

Your situation sounds similar to mine in that God has also been telling me that it is going to be okay. But I think that he is expecting me to wait. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for your testimony. And such a great layout you've made.

How great to read that the minute you gave it all to God, He brings you the right people on your path!
It's so easy to fall into worrying and sobbing and asking: why!
But like you said: we just have to give it to the Lord. He will lead us.

God bless,

Wendy

It is so hard to sometimes just give it to the Lord...how amazing is He, He was there waiting patiently for you to give it up, and when you did He responded. He knows whats in our hearts and what are desires are, He just wants us to trust in Him to give them to us. He wants us to allow Him to be completely in our heart...why do we so often struggle and fight Him?

It is so encouraging to hear testimonies that tell how God comes through once we let go. It excites me to see God's work being played out in a situation that seems so impossible at the time..:)

I have allowed "life" to interfere with my spiritual relationship, and in so doing, I try to control that which is uncontrollable, and in the hands of God. This is frustrating. I needed your blog to help me reposition my faith and to surrender my circumstances to His Will. Thank you for that reminder.

Let it be.
